In the NYC shelter system, you must be determined eligible and referred
by the Path Office.
What is the Path Office?
The Prevention Assistance and Temporary Housing Office, located in
Bronx, NY, is the new intake center for families in New York City.
The Path Office determines shelter eligibility and, if found eligible,
provides placement in temporary shelters or permanent housing. It
is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, including holidays. Path has replaced
the EAU (Emergency Assistance Unit), which was permanently closed
July 1, 2006.

How do I become a WIN client?

can request to be transferred to a WIN residence.
Do you provide any walk-in services?
Yes, but only if you are coming to WIN as a clinic patient. The only
walk-in service we provide is treatment in our Alcohol & Substance
Abuse Clinic.
